Community Guidelines
Effective 2026-07-24
Gigspact exists to close the trust gap in Philippine event bookings. These Guidelines describe the behavior, content, and marketplace conduct we expect from everyone on the Platform. They apply to Customers, Vendors, and any content you post — portfolio, feed posts, comments, reviews, chat, dispute submissions.
Breaking these rules is grounds for warnings, listing removal, suspension, permanent ban, forfeiture of pending payouts under an Agreement, and — where warranted — referral to authorities.
Capitalized terms not defined here — including Customer, Vendor, and Agreement — have the meaning given in the Terms & Conditions.
Be real
- Use your real name and a real photo. Businesses list under the legal name registered with DTI or SEC.
- One person, one account. No sock puppets, duplicate accounts, or accounts operated on behalf of someone banned.
- Do not impersonate another person, Vendor, brand, or public figure.
Be accurate
- Listings, portfolios, and package descriptions must reflect work you actually delivered. No stolen photos or misattributed credits.
- Do not use edited screenshots, fake bookings, or fabricated testimonials to inflate reputation.
- Verification documents (government ID, DTI, SEC, bank details) must be genuine and current. Forgeries mean immediate permanent ban.
Be respectful
Zero tolerance for:
- Harassment, threats, doxxing, stalking, or coordinated pile-ons.
- Hate speech or slurs targeting race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Sexual content, sexual solicitation, or content involving minors.
- Violence, gore, or credible threats of harm.
Chat, reviews, comments, and public feed posts are all held to the same bar. Private messaging is not a shield — abusive DMs are actionable when reported.
Protect the platform
The escrow mechanic is what makes Gigspact fair for both sides. Do not undermine it.
- No off-platform steering. Do not push conversations to third-party messaging apps, social platforms, or peer-to-peer payment channels to avoid the Agreement, escrow, or platform fees. First offence draws a written warning and booking suspension; repeat or coordinated offences forfeit pending payouts and end in delisting or ban (Terms Section 7). Anyone asked to move payment off-platform is expected to report it — good-faith reporters are protected from penalty even if they initially engaged in the conversation.
- No balance-capture evasion. Bookings on the full-payment escrow model capture the balance on a scheduled date (Terms Section 6). Customers must not deliberately cancel or replace a valid payment method to dodge the capture, and Vendors must not coach Customers to fail capture as a workaround for the standard cancellation tiers. Both parties honor the schedule the Agreement was signed against.
- No review manipulation. Do not trade reviews, coerce Customers into rating you, or offer refunds contingent on a five-star rating.
- No claim gaming. Do not file frivolous disputes, no-show claims, or force-majeure escalations to manipulate escrow release.
- No circumvention. Do not create new accounts after a ban, script the Platform, or scrape data.
Content standards
- Portfolio images must be your own or licensed. Watermark theft and lifted stock photos are removable on sight.
- Reviews must reflect a real completed booking. Speculative or retaliatory reviews will be removed.
- No spam — repetitive posts, unrelated links, and copy-paste comments across many threads are all spam.
- No promotion of illegal services, weapons, drugs, gambling, or other regulated activities.
Bookings and the Agreement
Every booking has a co-signed Agreement. Once signed, both sides are expected to honor it.
- Show up on time and deliver what the Agreement describes. If scope needs to change, amend the Agreement in-app, not by side-channel promise.
- Complete the QR check-in on the event day. That confirmation is what unlocks escrow release under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Honor the payment schedule shown at signing. Bookings under full-payment escrow (Terms Section 6) capture the balance on a fixed date — keep the authorized payment method valid through that date.
- Upload the proof-of-service the Agreement requires (photos, deliverables, final files) within the stated window.
Reporting and enforcement
If you see something that breaks these Guidelines, use the report control in-app (available on profiles, posts, comments, and messages), or email trust@gigspact.com.
Our enforcement ladder, from lightest to heaviest:
- Warning. A note on your account explaining what to change.
- Content removal. Post, comment, listing, or review taken down.
- Feature restriction. Temporary loss of feed posting, messaging, or listing visibility.
- Suspension. Account access frozen while we investigate.
- Permanent ban. Account closed. Any escrowed funds are released according to the applicable Agreement.
Severity depends on impact, intent, prior history, and whether the behavior targeted another user’s safety or finances.
Appeals
If you believe a decision was wrong, you may appeal within 14 days by replying to the enforcement notice or emailing trust@gigspact.com. A staff member who did not make the original decision reviews appeals. Appeal decisions are final for Platform enforcement, but do not limit rights you may have outside the Platform.
Changes to these Guidelines
We may update these Guidelines as we see new patterns of behavior. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
