Where does the money actually sit?
With a licensed, regulated escrow provider. Gigspact never has custody of your funds — we only trigger release when both sides confirm completion, or when the Agreement rules do.
What happens if the vendor no-shows?
You get your downpayment back plus the vendor’s good-faith deposit — same day, no back-and-forth. That deposit is the vendor’s skin in the game.
What if I need to cancel?
The cancellation policy is co-signed in the Agreement before either side pays. Whatever you agreed to at booking is what applies — no surprise fees.
How is completion confirmed?
On event day, the vendor scans a private QR code from the customer. That scan is the completion signal; funds move within 24 hours.
How does Gigspact make money?
A small platform fee on the customer downpayment, disclosed on every quote. No fee on the vendor’s good-faith deposit — that returns to them intact on completion.
